Creating Achievable Goals
To achieve a goal, it is essential to have a clear vision of your goal, a vague idea is not a goal. Once you have a clear vision, you need to form a plan of action. You will need to build in some form of accountability to ensure you follow through on your plan. The use of a journal is great ways to keep track of your progress, as well as making yourself accountable.
Most people have a hard time keeping a commitment they have made to themselves. You have to keep your goal in front of you at all times. If you regularly have someone to talk to about your goals and keep you accountable for your progress, you are more likely to follow through with your plan. Overtime your lifestyle changes will become part of who you are and they will be easy to maintain, but in the beginning, support is critical to make meaningful change.
